Scroll Block with Template
The scroll outline is roughly sawed out of the neck block via a scroll template.
Marking Volute
The volute, or spiral, of the scroll is marked with a scratch awl via the scroll template
Finished Neck
Once the fingerboard is finished, it is glued onto the neck.

The neck block is first squared up and cut to a certain width. The outline of the scroll is then cut out. The Turns of the scroll are slowly cut out with a saw and finished with gouges.
